Greek language has many rules and many exceptions to all those rules.
Η ελληνική γλώσσα έχει πολλούς κανόνες και πολλές εξαιρέσεις σ`αυτούς τους κανόνες.

The important thing is not to learn rules and exceptions.
Το σημαντικό δεν είναι να μάθετε κανόνες και εξαιρέσεις.

Το σημαντικό είναι να κατανοήσετε τη γλώσσα ως μια ανάσα ζωντανών ανθρώπων. 
The important thing is to understand the language as a breathing of people who are alive: 

" Τη γλώσσα μας  είναι αδύνατο να την αντικρίσει κανείς αλλιώς παρά σαν ανάσα ζωντανών ανθρώπων", said Giorgos Seferis, a famous Greek poet. 

He is the one who wrote the wonderful poem for one flower, jasmine:

Είτε βραδιάζει είτε φέγγει     Whether it’s dusk or dawn’s first light

μένει λευκό                         the jasmine remains  always white.
